Job summary

Adaptyv is hiring to build the backend systems that power an automated biology lab. You will design data pipelines and APIs to integrate laboratory instruments and robotics with our software stack, enabling biology experiments to run with minimal human intervention.

You will collaborate with scientists and automation engineers to translate complex molecular biology workflows into reliable, scalable software in a hands-on, autonomous environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building production backend services with Python/TypeScript.
• Experience designing data pipelines for large-scale biology data.
• Strong API design and systems integration skills.
• Genuine interest in biology; no formal background required.
• High autonomy with founder mindset and pragmatic problem solving.
• Ability to write maintainable code with or without AI assistance.
• Ability to work with researchers and automation engineers.
