Job summary

Adaptyv is seeking a backend engineer to build our programmable lab software, turning complex biology workflows into reliable systems. You will design data pipelines, connect lab instruments and robotics via APIs, and work closely with scientists to translate experimental protocols into scalable code.

You will explore production backend design with Python/TypeScript, develop robust data processing pipelines, and ensure interfaces between hardware and software are clean, maintainable, and secure.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building production backend systems using Python/TypeScript.
• Experience building data pipelines and processing infrastructure for large heterogeneous datasets.
• Strong API design and systems integration skills connecting instruments and robotics to software.
• Genuine interest in biology; excitement about running biology experiments in the physical world.
