Job summary

Adaptyv is building an automated wet-lab platform in London to enable AI-driven protein design and experimentation. You will sit between customer design models and our lab, helping teams define targets, design constructs, and select assays to accelerate protein development.

The role combines experimental biology with computational analysis, contributing to ARIA-backed programmes and UK lab expansion. Start ASAP, on-site in London with travel to partner sites.

Qualifications

• Strong protein science foundation with hands-on experience in design or biochemistry.
• Fluency with biophysical characterization methods (SPR, BLI, nanoDSF or equivalents).
• Proficiency in Python, notebooks, and basic statistics for noisy data.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific projects with customers, translating questions into design strategies and assays.
• Guide protein design decisions using de novo, diffusion-based, or language-model approaches.
• Turn experimental data into actionable next steps and test designs with customers.
• Develop new assays or automation capabilities to meet ARIA programme needs.
• Shape future ARIA programmes by anticipating required capabilities and preparing the roadmap.
