Backend Engineer — Core BI Platform

Job summary

Wolt is seeking a Software Engineer for the Core BI team to build and operate backend services, APIs and infrastructure that power BI platforms used across DoorDash, Deliveroo and Wolt. You will own problems from discovery through design, implementation and operational support, collaborating with Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Product teams to deliver durable, self-service capabilities.

You will work across Looker, Sigma and related systems, focusing on reliability, security, and scalable

Qualifications

• Solid Python backend development experience in production systems.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills with warehousing concepts.
• Experience building/owning production APIs and integrations.
• CI/CD ownership, containers and Kubernetes familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and operate backend services, APIs and automation for BI platforms.
• Automate platform lifecycle end-to-end including provisioning, permissions, migrations and validation.
• Create integrations between BI platforms and ecosystems (data warehouses, identity providers, orchestration, CI/CD).
• Improve availability, observability, performance, security and developer experience.
