Back Office Delivery Manager | Up to £135k | Permanent | London

Location: London - Hybrid (3 days in office)

Job type: Permanent

Our client, a global commodity trading company, is seeking a Back Office Delivery Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will work closely with the Technical Lead to oversee BAU activities, minor enhancements, project implementations, and support the transition to a new platform.

What you'll do:

1. Manage and mentor a team of BAs and QAs, fostering a culture of teamwork and high performance.
2. Implement and optimize Agile practices to streamline workflow and enhance delivery efficiency.
3. Maintain, prioritise, and refine the backlog in alignment with business objectives, ensuring timely and efficient task completion.
4. Track project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.
5. Identify and resolve obstacles that may impact delivery timelines, ensuring continuous and effective execution.
6. Lead planning and estimation activities to ensure accurate forecasting and optimal resource allocation.
7. Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive project success.
8. Assist in the transition to the new platform while minimising disruptions to ongoing operations.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in project management, team leadership, or product ownership.
2. Strong expertise in Agile methodologies, including experience managing Kanban boards.
3. Proficient in backlog management with the ability to prioritise and deliver tasks efficiently.
4. Excellent problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders.
6. Experience in planning, estimation, and managing project deliveries.
7. Knowledge of the commodities trading industry is an advantage.
