The Back-End Operations Leader at Crown Holdings, Inc. will serve as the technical expert for the Back-End area, supporting engineering and production teams across all shifts.

The role focuses on establishing, standardising, and applying best practices to maximise line performance, product quality, and equipment reliability. You will coach and mentor, develop SOPs, and drive continuous improvements with cross-functional teams.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline is desirable.
• Experience coaching and developing technical competence across teams.

Job Description: Are you an experienced can-making professional with a passion for technical excellence, process improvement, and developing others? The Opportunity As a Back-End Operations Leader, you will act as the technical expert for the Back-End area, supporting engineering and operational teams across all shifts. Your primary focus will be ensuring best practices are established, standardised, and consistently applied to maximise line performance, product quality, and equipment reliability. You will work closely with Shift Engineers, Operators, and Production Leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve recurring technical issues, and enhance the overall capability of the team. Through coaching, mentoring, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), you will help build technical competence and create sustainable improvements across the department. The role will also involve reviewing production performance, supporting preventative maintenance activities, planning can-size changeovers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring critical spare parts are identified and available to support reliable operations. What You'll Bring

You’ll be a technically capable and proactive individual with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and a passion for continuous improvement. You will have experience supporting production teams, solving technical problems, and influencing operational performance through coaching, training, and the implementation of best practices. A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is desirable, although candidates with equivalent technical knowledge and relevant industry experience will also be considered. Strong communication and leadership skills will be key, as you will regularly collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Continuous Improvement teams to develop capability and drive performance improvements. You'll be committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Desirable Experience

• Previous beverage can manufacturing experience within Back End operations
• Experience developing and delivering training and operational SOPs
• Experience leading continuous improvement and efficiency projects
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance planning and execution
• Experience analysing production data to identify performance improvement opportunities
