Job summary

Bright Horizons Northgate House Nursery and Preschool in Beaconsfield is seeking a Room Leader to guide and inspire a team, ensuring high standards of care and education for babies and young children. You will promote welfare, health and safety, and strong partnerships with parents to support each child’s milestones.

A Level 3 Early Years qualification and EYFS knowledge are essential. The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with options for Mon-Fri or 4-day weeks, based in Beaconsfield.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in Early Years settings, ideally as Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or similar.
• Passion for creating inclusive learning environments.
• Strong understanding of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Northgate House Nursery and Preschool

Salary – Starting from £30,804.80+ per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

Hours - 40 hours per week | Mon-Fri or 40 hours over 4 days | Permanent

We’re looking for a Room Leader to join our Northgate House nursery to lead our wonderful Baby Room!

The nursery is located in the centre of the beautiful market town of Beaconsfield, just a short 15 minute walk from Beaconsfield rail station and local shops. The nursery boasts spacious, bright rooms with outdoor spaces that are partially covered and accessible for all rooms. The nursery has recently undergone refurbishment and there are lots of sensory areas, cosy reading corners and imagination stations for the children to enjoy! Along with this we have exciting extra curricular activities such as Little Stars music sessions and Spanish lessons.

The Role

As a Room Leader, you will lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver exception care and education, to help all children within the room to develop and meet their individual milestones. You will promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding, and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to meet each child’s needs.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
