Job summary

Asset Appointments Ltd. seeks an interim Customer Service & Customs Specialist for their Huddersfield site. The role covers end-to-end UK import and customs declarations and management of digital procurement portals, acting as the liaison between UK clients, distributors, and central European HQ.

The position is initially for 12 months with potential to become permanent, onsite at Huddersfield, and requires strong SAP/ERP experience and a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Order Management, Sales Administration, or Customer Support role.
• Hands-on proficiency with ERP order management systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, Sage).
• Strong administrative aptitude with attention to detail and aptitude to learn digital systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork within a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full customer order lifecycle in SAP—entry, price checks, credit checks, confirmations, delivery notes, invoicing and samples.
• Act as a key point of contact for corporate customers, distributors, and external sales engineers via phone and email.
• Administer digital customer procurement platforms (e.g., SAP Ariba) and partner portals; onboard distributors and manage documentation.
• Resolve price discrepancies, handle invoice queries, assist with dunning, and maintain SAP master data.
• Oversee UK import declarations (EU/international), HS code classification, duty calculations, and TSS submissions.
• Coordinate with HMRC & European HQ compliance to maintain audit-ready records.
