AES (Aircraft Engineering Services Ltd) are inviting applications for B2 Licensed Engineers to be based at Edinburgh Airport on a 2 days, 2 nights rotation, in cooperation with Ryanair.

Ideal candidates hold UK CAA or EASA Pt66 B2 licences with Boeing 737-NG endorsements and 737-Max eligibility, plus line maintenance experience and strong communication skills. You will supervise mechanics and work in a fast-changing, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential).
  • EASA or UK CAA recognised qualifications.
  • Part-66 B2 License holder (Essential).
  • Boeing 737-NG Type Endorsement & Recency (Essential).
  • Boeing 737-Max Type Endorsement & Recency (Desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential).
  • Good IT Literacy (Essential), with AMOS Experience (Desirable).
  • Right to work in the UK and Full UK Driving Licence required.
  • UK CAA Licences accepted; five years maintenance experience plus EASA HF/Legislation modules may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Routine servicing and defect rectification of Ryanair's 737-800 and 737-8200 Fleet.
  • Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant working environment and follow procedures.
  • Supervise and mentor Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

UK CAA or EASA Pt 66 Qualified B2 Licensed Engineers with Boeing 737-NG (Essential) and Boeing 737-7/8/9 (Desirable) Type Ratings.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with existing line maintenance experience, who is able to supervise personnel and demonstrate a flexible working attitude in a fast-changing environment.

Duties - The successful candidate will report to the EDI Station Manager and be responsible for:

  • Routine servicing and defect rectification of Ryanair's 737-800 and 737-8200 Fleet.
  • Aircraft on Ground (AOG) recovery.
  • Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment, adhering to all company procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Supervision and mentoring of Aircraft Mechanics and Apprentices.
Requirements
  • Aircraft Line Maintenance experience (Essential).
  • EASA or UK CAA
  • Part-66 B2 License holder (Essential)
  • Boeing 737-NG Type Endorsement & Recency (Essential)
  • Boeing 737-Max Type Endorsement & Recency (Desirable - Type Courses Available)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (Essential)
  • Good IT Literacy (Essential), with AMOS Experience (Desirable)
  • All applicants must have unrestricted right to work and travel in the UK and hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • UK CAA Licences are accepted; however, the applicant must be able to demonstrate 5 Years Maintenance Experience and have completed, or able to complete EASA Module 9 (Human Factors) & Module 10 (Aviation Legislation).
