Job summary

Volantes Recruitment is hiring a B2 Licensed Engineer for a 7 on/7 off rotation in Oxford. The role involves line maintenance, rectifications on electrical and avionics, and frequent travel to customer sites to perform maintenance and defect rectification.

The ideal candidate should hold a UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence with knowledge of Airbus Helicopters products, and a clean UK driving licence. A National Security clearance may be required.

Volantes Recruitment are supporting the world's largest helicopter manufacturer with their search for a B2 Licensed Engineer to join their team in Oxford.

The Opportunity

• Accomplish maintenance inspections and rectifications on electrical and avionics systems.

• Use specialised test equipment to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft.

• A CAA Part 66 B2 License is preferred.

• Although based at Oxford, this is principally a line role that requires the engineer to have a high degree of mobility. A van will be supplied and deployment to customer locations to carry out line maintenance and defect rectification will be a daily requirement when on shift.

• A good working knowledge of UK CAA regulations most importantly Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements is essential.

• Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.

• Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.

• Also required to assist in day to day running of Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

• This position is subject to National Security Vetting. Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance, which generally requires having lived in the UK for the last five years. All successful applicants will also undergo a mandatory BPSS check.
