Job summary

Airbus Helicopters UK Ltd in Oxford is seeking a B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join our on-site maintenance team on a 7 on/7 off shift. You will perform maintenance inspections and repairs to airframe, power plant, avionics and electrical systems, under Part 66 B1.3, with mobility to customer sites as required.

The role requires a good understanding of UK CAA regulations (Part 145, Part M, UK ANO) and experience in certifying work, supervising fitters, and ensuring safe operation of our aircraft.

The opportunity
  • Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors. This is a certifying role that requires a Part 66 License in B1.3 (Turbine Rotorcraft). The ability to work as part of a team, but also independently is essential. You are expected to work to high standards to ensure the continued safe operation of aircraft
  • Although based at Oxford, this is principally a line role that requires the engineer to have a high degree of mobility. A van will be supplied and deployment to customer locations to carry out line maintenance and defect rectification will be a daily requirement when on shift.
  • A good working knowledge of UK CAA regulations most importantly Part 145, Part M and UK ANO requirements is essential.
  • Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant and mechanical and electrical systems. Replacement of avionic line replaceable units, requiring simple tests to prove their serviceability.
  • Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
  • Also required to assist in day to day running of Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

  • This position is subject to National Security Vetting. Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance, which generally requires having lived in the UK for the last five years. All successful applicants will also undergo a mandatory BPSS check.
