Job summary

Airbus operates at RAF Valley in Anglesey, seeking a UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support the MFTS operation. You will be responsible for delivering serviceable aircraft, ensuring regulatory compliance, and performing maintenance on electrical and avionics systems.

Lead maintenance teams, certify works, and assist in hangar operations while upholding safety and quality standards across the daily flight programme.

Qualifications

• UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence is required.
• Experience delivering serviceable aircraft to meet daily flying programme requirements.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and avionics systems and ability to supervise fitters.

Job description

UK CAA B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer at RAF Valley, Anglesey. Reporting to the Valley Maintenance Manager, to support the MFTS operation.

• Responsible for the delivery of serviceable aircraft to meet the requirements of the daily flying programme.
• Ensuring compliance with Aviation regulations and Company procedures.
• Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by Maintenance Supervisors.
• Complete maintenance to a high standard to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
• Completion of maintenance, including electrical systems and avionics systems.
• Supervision of maintenance fitters and the certification of their work.
• Assist in day to day running of the Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities., Aircraft Avionics Technicians who are studying towards their UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence who have completed at least 6 modules and have more than 3 years' experience documented in their experience logbooks are also encouraged to apply.
• Valid UK CAA Part 66 B2 Licence
• Preferably with one of the following type ratings, but not essential:
• Airbus EC135 T3H
• Airbus BK117 D2
  Working knowledge of UK CAA regulations including, but not limited to Part 145, Part CAMO and UK ANO
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionics systems
• Experience in an Aviation engineering environment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Self-motivated and ability to work under own initiative
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Flexible to the requirements of the company and needs of the customer
• Operational resilience and collaborative problem-solving, This position is subject to National Security Vetting. Candidates must be able to obtain SC clearance, which generally requires having lived in the UK for the last five years. All successful applicants will also undergo a mandatory BPSS check.
