Aeropeople are currently recruiting for a B2 Licensed Engineer (base maintenance) on behalf of our client based in Carterton, Oxfordshire. This is an opportunity to be part of a world leading aviation service provider, working for a company that is truly committed to the development of its employees. The business provides end to end maintenance, military and civil flying programmes, training and major aircraft upgrades. They are a vital part of the UK's defence capability, delivering air-to-air refuelling and air transport services to the RAF and MOD. As a B2 Licensed Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring their aircraft remain airworthy, safe, and mission‑ready. By certifying maintenance activities, leading technical tasks, and upholding the highest airworthiness standards, you will directly influence the reliability, performance, and operational availability of the fleet. Your expertise ensures that every aircraft leaving the hangar meets the strictest regulatory and safety requirements, contributing to the success of a nationally important aviation operation.
Reporting to the Base Shift Manager, the B2 Licensed Engineer will carry out and certify aircraft maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory and company quality standards. Working closely with the Shift Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently to meet operational demands and customer contractual requirements.
Please note that this role will involve working a mixture of day and night shifts (7.30am- 7.30pm and 7.30pm- 7.30am) and will operate on a rotation of 4 on/ 5 off, 5 on/ 4 off, 5 on/ 5 off and the cycle repeats.
This is an exciting opportunity, open to all B2 licenced engineers, with at least 1 type rating currently on their licence.
Please note that in order to apply for this role you will need to be eligible for SC (Secret Level) UK Security Clearance so a British passport is mandatory.
