Job summary

British Airways is seeking a B2 Licenced Aircraft Engineer to join the Gatwick Line Maintenance team. You will diagnose, repair and certify on A320 and B777 fleets, supporting live flight operations and planned maintenance in a busy, 24/7 environment.

You will work a 2 days / 2 nights roster with 12-hour shifts, ensuring safety, compliance and high-quality engineering standards while collaborating with a skilled, diverse team at London Gatwick.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted UK CAA Part-66 B2 licence with valid aircraft type rating.
• Recent aircraft certification experience.
• UK driving licence or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Certify and perform maintenance on A320 family and B777 aircraft within licence, approvals and procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, avionics and system defects.
• Support daily flying programme to maintain safety, compliance and efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise during aircraft casualties and complex defect investigations.
• Lead and supervise maintenance activity within your area of expertise.
• Collaborate with B1 engineers, Operations, Maintrol and other engineering teams.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records using digital systems.
• Maintain highest safety and engineering professionalism.
