Job summary

STS Aviation Services is hiring a B2 Avionics Mechanic in Birmingham, United Kingdom. In this role you will carry out avionics modifications and maintenance per approved data, owning quality and compliance while ensuring safe practices and timely communication with the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer.

Key duties include wiring terminations, shelf/panel installation, and interpreting manuals. You will support testing and troubleshooting with a focus on safety and precision.

Qualifications

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship—ideally Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent.
• Previous aircraft modification experience.
• Previous aircraft production experience is advantageous.
• Excellent hand skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Eligible to work and live in the UK.
• Subject to UK security Vetting.
• Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems.
• Reliability.
• Adaptability.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Precise wiring terminations and testing.
• Removal and installation of various shelves, panels and equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements.
• Loom manufacture and testing.
• Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
