Job summary

Olympus Recruitment is seeking a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a busy South Wales maintenance operation. You will work within a Part 145 environment carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on large commercial aircraft, following approved procedures and safety standards.

The role requires holding an EASA/UK CAA B1 licence with appropriate type ratings and recency on the listed aircraft, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while upholding high engineering standards.

Qualifications

  • EASA and/or UK CAA B1 Licence.
  • Type ratings on Airbus A320, A330, Boeing 737 Classic/NG/757/767/777.
  • Evidence of recency on the relevant aircraft type(s).
  • Strong large commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • EU or UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft maintenance in accordance with customer work orders, approved procedures and Part 145 requirements.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and relevant forms are completed accurately and on time.
  • Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance efficiently and safely.
  • Supervise and support engineers allocated to maintenance tasks.
  • Liaise with management regarding progress, manpower requirements, critical-path activity and third-party support.
  • Provide technical support on maintenance-related issues to maintain aircraft safety and reliability.
  • Maintain high engineering standards, including task control, workplace cleanliness and FOD prevention.
  • Support and mentor less experienced team members.

B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer

Location: South Wales

Salary: £80,000 - £87,000

Shift Pattern: Five, Four, Four, Five

We are recruiting for an experienced B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a growing aircraft maintenance organisation based in South Wales.

Working within a Part 145 maintenance environment, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on large commercial aircraft. The role operates on a Five, Four, Four, Five working schedule and will involve a varied range of maintenance activities, including aircraft and engine storage, engine removals, modifications and defect rectification.

You will take responsibility for the quality of work completed, while also supporting and mentoring other members of the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out aircraft maintenance in accordance with customer work orders, approved procedures and Part 145 requirements.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will require:

  • EASA and/or UK CAA B1 Licence.
  • Type rating on one or more of the following:
    • Airbus A320
    • Airbus A330
    • Boeing 737 Classic
    • Boeing 737 NG
    • Boeing 757
    • Boeing 767
    • Boeing 777
  • Evidence of recency on the relevant aircraft type(s).
  • Strong large commercial aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Good knowledge of aircraft inspection procedures, methods and equipment.
  • Understanding of line maintenance and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively within a busy operational maintenance environment.
  • EU or UK driving licence.
Advantageous
  • Engine Ground Run (EGR) training.
  • Aircraft transition experience.
  • EASA and/or UK CAA B2 Licence.
