The Role
We are currently recruiting for a B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
- The SLAE shall be accountable to the Chief Engineer for safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance at the Hurn base and/or detached locations. They will support the team with engineering decisions and provide guidance on personal and team development.
- Maintain awareness of all associated and related Aircraft Maintenance regulations and work in accordance with the Company procedures at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance of aircraft and aircraft equipment allocated by the Chief Engineer.
- Ensure all technical staff under supervision perform their duties safely and properly, following Maintenance Manuals and the Company Exposition.
- Ensure correct and timely completion of all aircraft documentation related to maintenance activities.
- Coordinate engineering activities to enable the team to complete tasks on time and within budget.
- Review team performance and provide feedback to the Chief Engineer.
- Evaluate standards, practices, and procedures for continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Assist the Chief Engineer in daily team functions and deputise in their absence.
- Help prioritize tasks and schedule requirements.
- Support the development of the team.
- Achieve optimal Base Maintenance performance and maintain excellent customer and stakeholder relations.
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Vocational qualifications and previous experience within a base maintenance department; line maintenance or workshop experience are desirable.
- Unrestricted EASA B1 / B2 licence with relevant type ratings and company authorizations.
- At least 3 years of proven experience at LAE level or similar in an aircraft maintenance environment.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance.
- Solid understanding of Base Maintenance operations.
- Good change and project management skills.
- Team-oriented with strong communication and influencing skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent personal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, confident, and assertive.
- Ability to work within organizational values and be medically fit for daily duties, including detachment work.
