Job summary

PDG Aviation Services in Cumbernauld, United Kingdom, seeks a B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join the Engineering Department on a permanent full-time basis. The role operates on a 28-day rotating shift pattern averaging 35 hours per week, including 10-hour shifts on a 6-on/4-off cycle followed by 4-on/6-off.

Responsibilities include on-base maintenance support, defect documentation, and supervision of engineering staff, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and PDG policy compliance.

Qualifications

• B1.3 CAA license or equivalent is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Right to work in the UK must be held.
• Flexibility to work the 10h shift pattern and cycles.

Responsibilities

• Support line and base maintenance at PDG bases and occasional off-site sites.
• Perform aircraft maintenance using approved data and regulations.
• Complete maintenance safely, efficiently and in line with PDG policies.
• Identify, document and report aircraft defects after debrief with crew.
• Supervise engineering and support personnel as required.
• Ensure correct use and maintenance of tooling; keep a clean work environment.
• Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes and cleaning tasks.
• Provide general engineering and operational support to the department.
