Job summary

Landmarc is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Operations team supporting UK Defence Training Estate. You’ll maintain core infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Hyper-V, storage and backup, and provide technical guidance to users.

You’ll monitor systems, apply patches, manage vulnerability remediation, and assist with migrations to Microsoft Azure. Strong problem solving, communication and ITIL practices are essential; experience with SCCM/SCVMM and

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in Infrastructure Engineer roles.
• Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments and AD/Azure AD.
• Familiar with virtualization (Hyper-V), storage, backup and PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain core infrastructure platforms including Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure AD, Hyper-V, storage and backup environments.
• Support system monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, server and application issues with technical expertise.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, technology refresh programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with the migration of services/workloads to Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate with IT teams on scripting, automation and IT Service Management processes.
