Job summary

Thales is modernising its engineering tooling in the UK, with a focus on cloud-native platforms and Azure-based migrations. The role partners with a Technical Product Owner and other stakeholders to plan, prioritise, and deliver tooling improvements across multiple UK sites including Crawley.

You will coach junior engineers, champion best practices in deployment, automation, and operations, and help deliver reliable tooling for engineering product teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience building and supporting cloud-native tooling environments.
• Migration of on-prem/older tooling to Azure-based platforms with minimal service disruption.
• Strong collaboration with product owners and stakeholders in agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support tools on Thales' Azure infrastructure (CI/CD, artifact management, code quality, licensing).
• Create or modify deployment solutions using IaC and automation.
• Improve processes through automation for consistency and reliability.
• Maintain environments during transition and support engineering users.
