Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and support scalable Azure infrastructure. You will manage IaaS components, automation, and governance to meet regulatory and performance requirements.

The role requires Terraform experience, Windows/Linux administration, and scripting in PowerShell or Python. You will work with orchestration teams to deliver roadmaps and runbooks, ensuring high availability and security across the Azure platform.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Azure IaaS and platform components.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Scripting in PowerShell and/or Python.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-800/801) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Azure infrastructure services to meet requirements.
• Maintain understanding of the Group’s server and Azure architecture.
• Support modernisation and simplification of the Azure environment, reducing debt and improving efficiency.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to deliver infrastructure roadmaps aligned to strategy.
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for Azure incidents and problems.
• Monitor Azure platform health and respond to alerts per processes.
• Participate in incident, problem, and root cause analyses.
• Ensure availability, performance, and resilience of infrastructure services.
• Deliver IaC solutions using Terraform with internal and third-party providers.
• Automate deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources.
• Contribute to consistency and efficiency through automation.
• Follow change control processes and CAB approvals.
• Document changes and evidence; maintain runbooks and governance docs.
