Job summary

TelefonicaTech UK&I in Huntingdon requires a Level 3 Azure Engineer to design, deploy, and optimise Azure solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS within our Managed Service capability.

The role demands 3+ years of Azure experience, strong IaC/DevOps skills, and excellent communication to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will implement deployments, automation, monitoring, and security controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven experience as an Azure Platform Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, microservices, and containerisation.
• Hands-on experience with IaC and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience deploying Azure infrastructure (VMs, storage, networking, identity).
• Knowledge of Azure pricing and compliant governance practices.
• Ability to attain Government security clearance (SC) as a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure components (VMs, Storage, Networking, Entra ID).
• Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring and Optimisation: Monitor resources and optimise performance, cost, and availability.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and participate in assessments.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work with architects, developers, and engineers; maintain detailed docs.
