Job summary

Rare is seeking a Platform Engineer to build and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure for game development and live services. You will automate deployments and improve reliability using modern DevOps practices, collaborating with game teams to boost performance, security, and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities include managing hybrid cloud (on-prem + Azure), designing scalable infrastructure, and keeping tools up-to-date with security best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure.
• Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployments.
• Understanding of cloud security and best practices.
• Familiarity with configuration management.
• Awareness of CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework).
• Experience with Bicep or Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve hybrid cloud (on-prem + Azure).
• Build and maintain automated deployment pipelines for infrastructure.
• Support game teams by designing scalable, reliable infrastructure.
• Optimise security, cost, and performance of systems.
