Vallum Associates Limited seeks a Cloud Engineer with networking focus to design, implement and optimize Azure-based infrastructure, including VNETs, NSGs, AKS, and security controls. The initial contract is 1 month and extendable to 12 months, with a 2-week onsite/2-week remote pattern in month one.

Thereafter, the role moves to a hybrid working model, involving collaboration with cross-functional teams, automation using ARM templates, Terraform and PowerShell, and continuous focus on

Qualifications

• Experience with design and implementation of Azure cloud services.
• Strong networking skills across VNETs, subnets, NSGs and firewall solutions.
• Hands-on automation using ARM templates, Terraform and PowerShell.

Responsabilités

• Develop, design and implement Azure cloud services (VMs, App Services, AKS, Functions, Storage, Monitor).
• Develop, design and implement VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, SDWAN and network solutions.
• Automation & DevOps—design and implement support for ARM Templates, Terraform, PowerShell, CI/CD pipelines.
• Performance & Cost Optimization—autoscaling, load balancing, reserved instances.
• Design for scalability, reliability, availability and security of systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and maintain resilient systems.
• Investigate and evaluate market and technology trends.
• Foster a collaborative troubleshooting environment.
• Security and Compliance: implement and enforce security policies; ISO/NIST; remediate vulnerabilities; Zero Trust Architecture; Identity & Access Management with Azure AD and RBAC.
• System/Networking Assessment: review enterprise network landscape, evaluate security posture, assess on-prem and cloud servers, document reports.
