Job summary

System1 in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on DevOps Manager to lead our Azure infrastructure, DevOps capability, and high-performing IT Systems team. This hybrid leadership role suits someone who thrives in modern cloud environments and enjoys mentoring a growing team.

You will own Azure infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC with Bicep, and cloud security, guiding delivery, reliability, and automation across the business.

Qualifications

• Strong Azure and Azure DevOps experience.
• Expertise in CI/CD, YAML pipelines, and IaC.
• Hands-on cloud infrastructure and security knowledge.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Previous senior/lead engineering experience.
• Collaborative leader who can coach and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Lead Azure infrastructure and DevOps capability for platforms.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and best practices.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code with Bicep.
• Oversee cloud security, governance, and compliance.
• Provide team leadership, mentoring, and technical direction.
• Enable developers and optimise releases.
• Drive containerisation strategy including Docker, AKS and related tools.
