Job summary

Brown & Brown Europe is seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer to join a cross-functional squad in Borehamwood. You will build, support and improve secure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and live-service reliability, taking ownership of defined DevOps work with guidance from seniors.

In a product-led, collaborative engineering environment you will embed security and quality checks, automate infrastructure as code, monitor health, and help optimise delivery flows through

Qualifications

• Commercial DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Practical Azure DevOps, Git and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application environments.
• Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash or similar).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain and improve Azure DevOps pipelines for build, test, release and deployment activity.
• Support reliable deployments across development, test and production environments.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation using IaC patterns and standards.
• Work with engineering squads to improve deployment confidence, environment reliability and delivery flow.
• Embed security, quality and operational checks into pipelines and release processes.
• Use monitoring, alerting and logs to understand service health and support incident investigation.
• Troubleshoot build, release, environment and platform issues, escalating complex problems early.
• Maintain clear technical notes, runbooks and support information for squad-owned services.
• Take part in planning, refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, demos and operational reviews.
• Contribute practical ideas that improve automation, resilience, security and developer experience.
