Job description

The Azure Delivery Specialist will report to the Technical Delivery Team Lead, however take technical direction and workload instruction from the Principal Technical Lead as required in their day to day role. You will be responsible for the delivery of Azure services, maintain all elements of the defined Cloud Appropriate Strategy, support project delivery and provide escalation support and training to other members of the Technical Services teams. We have both full time and FTC roles available.

Your core responsibilities

  • Maintain all elements of Azure Service Infrastructure, supporting and optimising key functional areas, particularly those defined by the Principal Technical Lead.
  • Build, and maintain scalable and robust infrastructure solutions using Azure, DotNet 9, C#, Infrastructure as Code, Bicep, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure infrastructure security by implementing industry-standard best practices and proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.
  • Provide day to day consultation, training, instruction, troubleshooting and problem solving to the IT Department and group business units for projects, business transformation and all BAU initiatives.
  • Support the technical integration of M&A projects, ensuring that Biffa’s and industry best practices are maintained.

Minimum Requirements

  • Microsoft, Azure and MS public and private cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Knowledge necessary to propose relevant IT responses to changing business and project risks.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure design and support.
  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
