Job description

The AXA XL Cloud Delivery Lead is responsible for managing the cross-functional activities to deliver applications into the AXA XL PaaS Cloud platform. The underlying teams collectively possess the knowledge and expertise to support, run, and deliver applications in the Cloud PaaS environments. She/He will be part of the Cloud Business Projects team, working closely with application/technical teams within AXA XL, the Cloud Business Projects Lead, Program Managers, AXA Group Operations, and external partners.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Azure PaaS capabilities crucial for various projects and coordinate their implementation, adhering to prioritization set by governance, including senior Operations & Technology management. Manage Cloud Delivery scrum meetings and coordinate technical meetings to align project and delivery teams.
2. Manage integration blockers systematically by establishing mitigation projects (workaround & target solutions).
3. Consider technical direction regarding tooling, automation, and engineering capabilities in collaboration with the application CTO, Project Managers, Technical Lead, application teams, and Subject Matter Experts.
4. Support Cloud Business Projects execution teams on technical issues and defects.
5. Represent Cloud Projects delivery in Architecture & other governance forums, ensuring Cloud delivery constraints are considered appropriately.
6. Provide guidance to increase Cloud delivery velocity.
7. Identify planning, capacity, and velocity risks in integration projects, and establish mitigation plans with program leadership.
8. Monitor and report progress against plans, adjusting as needed to keep projects on track or escalating risks to relevant governance.
9. Ensure high-quality project deliverables are completed on time.
10. Continuously improve and optimize delivery processes and outcomes.
11. Provide leadership and direction positively and productively.
12. Maintain transparency and trust through regular communication and reporting with stakeholders and teams.

The Cloud Delivery Lead will report to the Cloud Business Projects Lead.

• Senior technology expert with extensive experience.
• Significant experience in technical and complex coordination.
• Expertise in Cloud technologies (Azure, OpenShift).
• Knowledge of Cloud eco-systems (infrastructure & security).
• Experience in large-scale datacenter and Cloud projects.
• Experience leading international and multicultural projects in English.
• Ability to navigate complex matrix organizations to drive actions and decisions.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Adaptability to changing requirements, with a focus on iterative and incremental delivery.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) with hands-on experience.
• Customer-oriented, autonomous, proactive, and able to simplify complex organizational structures.
• Excellent listening and understanding of complex requirements, team spirit, and knowledge sharing willingness.
• Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and set realistic timescales.
• Ability to understand and incorporate AXA standards (Security, IFC) into implementations.
