Job summary

Oliver Bernard is partnering with a technology consultancy to deliver a greenfield enterprise data platform for a UK sustainability organisation. They seek experienced architects to lead end-to-end design and implementation, including a Databricks-based lakehouse on Azure.

The role is fully remote with occasional UK client travel and offers £125k base plus bonus, stock options, matched pension and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering greenfield cloud data platforms.
• Strong Azure and Databricks expertise and architectural leadership.
• Proven ability to drive design through to implementation with clients.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of a new cloud data platform.
• Design a scalable Databricks-based lakehouse on Azure.
• Establish data governance and modelling standards.
• Whiteboard solutions with clients and guide engineering teams.
• Help establish data foundations for future AI capabilities.
