Job summary
The Woodland Trust is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to act as the technical lead on cloud infrastructure and systems, enabling project delivery and improvements in the Digital Enablement technology portfolio.
The role requires strong experience with Azure (IaaS/PaaS), networking, IaC (Terraform/Bicep) and Azure DevOps, plus secure-by-design practices. Hybrid work from Grantham with occasional travel and a 2-year FTC.
Qualifications
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS, including Virtual Machines, App Services, Azure SQL and Storage.
- Experience with IaC and automation using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
- Knowledge of Azure networking (Virtual Networks, NSGs, Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, WAF, Front Door).
- Secure by design cloud architectures and cloud security best practices.
- Experience delivering cloud migrations, HA, backup and DR in Azure.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure and systems.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure remains secure, compliant and reliable.
- Lead troubleshooting for complex infrastructure incidents.
- Work with third-party suppliers and partners to support delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and reduce costs.
- Lead technical reviews and design discussions with stakeholders.
