Job summary

Fruition Group in Ipswich is seeking a Cloud Platform Lead to design and implement the Azure platform, landing zones and hosting architectures. You will drive security, resilience, and FinOps while leading cloud migration efforts and shaping engineering standards across the technology function.

The role requires 7+ years of Azure experience, IaC ownership (Terraform/Bicep/ARM) and end-to-end CI/CD delivery, with a hybrid on-site pattern and a competitive up-to-£80,000 salary plus a discretionary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Azure platform engineering experience.
• Proven delivery of cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
• Experience with IaC and end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong networking, identity (Entra ID) and cloud security knowledge.
• Experience in ITIL-aligned service organisations.
• Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the Azure platform - landing zones, reference architectures, hosting and automation.
• Help set engineering standards for resilience, security, scalability and performance.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation, including hybrid integration with the legacy on-prem estate.
• Drive Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD adoption across the organisation.
• Build platforms secure by design, aligned to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Embed cost visibility and FinOps practice into platform design.
• Define runbooks, monitoring and alerting so everything you build is properly supportable.
• Work alongside infrastructure, workplace, security and data teams to remove friction and enable delivery.
