Job summary

The Woodland Trust is seeking a Cloud Solutions Engineer to act as technical lead on cloud infrastructure and systems, enabling project delivery and improvements across the Digital Enablement technology portfolio. You will shape secure, resilient cloud architectures and guide implementation across Azure.

You will provide expert support for complex incidents, lead reviews with stakeholders, and collaborate with partners to deliver scalable, cost-efficient cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure cloud and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Expert knowledge of Azure IaaS and PaaS: VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts.
• Proficient in Azure networking: VNet, NSG, Load Balancer, Private Endpoints, WAF, Front Door.
• Design secure cloud architectures following Secure by Design principles.
• Experience with IaC and automation using Terraform, Bicep, and Azure DevOps CI/CD.
• Experience delivering cloud migrations, high availability, backup and disaster recovery in Azure.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune and enterprise networking; strong troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure and systems.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure is secure, resilient and compliant with policies.
• Provide expert support for complex infrastructure incidents and root cause analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Lead technical reviews and workshops with stakeholders; guide design and implementation.
• Work with third-party suppliers and technical partners to support delivery and improvements.
• Hybrid role with monthly head office attendance at Grantham; occasional travel as needed.
