Job summary

UBDS Group is seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to design, implement, and modernise secure cloud infrastructure across complex customer environments. The role is hands-on with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure, cloud storage, automation and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with engineering, security and delivery teams to translate business requirements into scalable Azure solutions and provide technical leadership while actively participating in development and deployment

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft Azure cloud architecture.
• Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure: compute, networking, storage and identity.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Files, Azure Storage and hybrid file-sharing solutions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates.
• Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD and deployment automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, scalable and resilient cloud architecture using Microsoft Azure.
• Define cloud infrastructure architecture across compute, networking, storage, identity and security.
• Design, configure and optimise Azure Files and associated cloud storage solutions.
• Support the migration and modernisation of on-premise file services and storage into Azure.
• Design hybrid cloud environments, including connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and Azure.
• Provide architectural guidance and hands-on engineering support to Cloud and DevOps teams.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automated deployment solutions.
• Support scripting, development and automation using PowerShell, Python or similar technologies.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling.
• Work with Azure identity, access management and security services.
