Job summary

Experis IT in Manchester is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer to help build the Azure cloud platform for a growing global organization. You will work on secure, scalable Azure IaaS and PaaS services and support automation and security initiatives.

The role focuses on infrastructure as code (Bicep/ARM) and Azure DevOps, with a strong emphasis on cost optimisation and FinOps, while maintaining Zero Trust security practices and platform health.

Qualifications

• 2+ years Azure Cloud Engineering experience.
• 2+ years Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking & Identity.
• Understanding of cloud security and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimise & support Azure IaaS & PaaS services.
• Deliver Infrastructure as Code using Bicep, ARM & Azure DevOps.
• Automate deployments and operational processes.
• Support Zero Trust security using Entra ID, Conditional Access & PIM.
• Monitor platform health, availability and performance.
• Drive cloud cost optimisation and FinOps activities.
