Job summary

Hays Technology is seeking an Azure Engineer to join a critical cloud migration project, moving a business‑critical app from on‑prem to Microsoft Azure. You will design, build, test, and support secure, resilient Azure infrastructure in collaboration with the Lead Technical Architect.

The role requires hands‑on IaC experience (Terraform, Bicep), Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines, plus a track record in regulated or mission‑critical environments.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Azure cloud services with migration experience.
• Azure certification: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep).
• Experience in regulated or mission‑critical environments.
• Knowledge of landing zones, identity management, security, backup and DR.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery, assessment, and migration planning to Azure.
• Design, build, and configure Azure infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking.
• Implement identity management, monitoring, and operational services.
• Lead migration activities, including cutover and rollback procedures.
• Conduct resilience testing, backup validation, and DR drills.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and migration issues to maintain timelines.
• Develop technical documentation and handover materials.
• Collaborate with architects, Microsoft teams, and vendors throughout the project.
