Job summary

ITAC Solutions, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Azure Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and secure Azure infrastructure while supporting migrations and operations in a hands-on environment.

This contract‑to‑hire role offers hybrid work flexibility, exposure to a broad set of Azure services, and collaboration across IT, security, and application teams to modernize enterprise infrastructure. You will build IaC with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, and manage monitoring with Azure Monitor.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems administration, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, backup, and security services.
• Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Networking fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, subnets, and hybrid connectivity.
• Production experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Scripting or automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including VMs, VNETs, storage, App Services, Azure SQL, and related services.
• Support cloud migration initiatives from assessment through post‑migration support.
• Implement secure Azure configurations including RBAC, IAM, NSGs, private endpoints, and key management.
• Build and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, capacity, and cost with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Collaborate across IT, security, application, and business teams.
• Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Occasional after‑hours maintenance or incident response as needed.

Our client is looking for a Mid-Level Azure Cloud Engineer to help design and maintain a modern cloud environment while supporting migration initiatives, infrastructure automation, security, and day‑to‑day operations.

This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity with a growing organization where you'll work across cloud infrastructure, systems, networking, security, and application teams.

Compensation

• $90,000 – $110,000base salary (based on experience)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage, App Services, Azure SQL, and related platform services.
• Support cloud migration initiatives from initial workload assessment and planning through implementation, testing, and post‑migration support.
• Implement secure Azure configurations including RBAC, identity and access management, network security groups, private endpoints, and key management.
• Build and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, capacity, and cost using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, alerts, and dashboards.
• Support enterprise infrastructure initiatives involving Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and security remediation.
• Participate in change management, incident response, maintenance windows, and occasional on‑call support.
• Document infrastructure, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

What You’ll Need to Be Considered

• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, systems administration, network administration, or a related technical discipline.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Microsoft Azure experience in an enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of Azure compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, backup, and security services.
• Experience administering Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routing, firewalls, load balancing, subnets, and hybrid connectivity.
• Production experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
• Scripting or automation experience using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of cloud security principles, least‑privilege access, identity management, and operational controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to communicate technical issues and solutions clearly.
• Strong documentation, organization, time management, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to participate in occasional after‑hours maintenance or incident response as needed.
