Job summary

Cadence Resourcing is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to drive a major cloud transformation. You will design scalable Azure environments, lead migrations from on-premise, and contribute to security baselines and automation.

• Hands-on Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS.
• Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs and cloud security.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a major cloud transformation programme, including the migration of business-critical applications and databases from on-premise infrastructure into Microsoft Azure.

The Role

This is a hands-on position combining cloud engineering, automation and technical leadership. You will design and deliver secure, scalable and resilient Azure environments while contributing to the organisation’s wider infrastructure strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver Azure cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Support application and database migrations into Azure
• Provision infrastructure using Terraform, ARM or Bicep
• Implement Entra ID, RBAC, managed identities and Key Vault
• Manage patching, vulnerability remediation and security baselines
• Develop automation using PowerShell and Bash
• Implement monitoring, backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction

About You

You will have strong hands-on Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS, together with expertise in infrastructure-as-code, ideally Terraform. You should also understand Windows Server, Linux, networking, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs and cloud security.

Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, New Relic or similar would be highly beneficial.
