Job summary

Munich Re Group is seeking a senior architect to lead technical direction across a portfolio of business applications and off-the-shelf products. You will define modular, scalable architectures aligned with enterprise standards and collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to drive architecture governance and solution delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong project delivery background (ideal 7 years of hands on experience in system design, systems integration or software development as a senior developer / architect)
• Well versed with Azure Cloud architecture styles and design patterns
• Experience developing and deploying Cloud Native Applications using Azure PaaS capabilities (App Services Plans, Key Vault, SQL Azure DB, AzureFunctions, Containers, AKS, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management)
• Experience in Enterprise Integration Technologies such as Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus
• Experience with Azure Governance and Best Practices (RBAC, Networking, Cost Management)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC processes: DevOps, UML, agile development practices
• Deep technical knowledge in web-based, service-based, enterprise architectures and cloud architecture

Responsibilities

• Assume technical lead role in implementation projects and guide the work of the team.
• Responsible for the technical architecture across a suite of custom business applications and off the shelf products.
• Develop flexible, adaptable, modular architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
• Develop standards and patterns for application development across disciplines including quality profiles, coding standards, configuration standards and unit testing.
• Review designs, review code, enforce best practices, and ensure performance testing for efficiency.
• Stay current on cutting-edge technologies and assess business benefits of new solutions.
• Support requirements gathering to shape initiatives and solution strategy.
• Collaborate with development teams applying Agile and DevSecOps in architecture and design.
• Create architecture specification documents and other required documentation.
• Maintain a repository of architecture assets and promote reuse across the organization.
