Job summary

Be-IT is supporting a unique Scottish organisation delivering services impacting the agricultural and food supply sectors across the UK. We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to own the cloud platform, shape strategy and drive automation.

You will act as the Azure SME, taking technical ownership, collaborating with security partners and internal stakeholders to build, improve and operate a modern Azure environment with robust CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or similar).
• Azure networking, compute, storage and identity experience.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and automation tooling.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Azure CLI or similar scripting technologies.
• Experience supporting and improving production cloud environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the organisation's Microsoft Azure platform.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient cloud solutions.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Build and maintain Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support cloud networking, identity and platform operations.
• Improve platform performance, reliability and resilience.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Act as the internal Azure SME, providing technical leadership and best practice guidance.
• Work with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to deliver cloud improvements and strategic projects.
