Job summary

Peaple Talent Ltd. is partnering with Bristol-based software business to hire a hands-on Cloud Architect who will lead the next stage of its cloud transformation.

You’ll design, implement and own Azure-based infrastructure, driving security, resilience and scalability across the platform. You’ll work with product, development and IT teams to shape long-term cloud strategy while taking technical ownership and delivering end-to-end improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ability to design and hands-on implement cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud security, networking, high availability and disaster recovery.
• Background in cloud modernisation, infrastructure transformation or SaaS environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to influence technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily within Microsoft Azure.
• Assessing existing environments and identifying opportunities to improve security, resilience, performance and scalability.
• Developing disaster recovery, backup and failover solutions across Azure regions.
• Improving cloud networking, connectivity and infrastructure architecture.
• Taking ownership of technical proposals and delivering projects from concept through to implementation.
• Working closely with development, product and IT teams to shape the long-term cloud strategy.

Ready to take ownership of a cloud platform and shape its future? Peaple Talent is exclusively partnering with an established Bristol-based software business looking for a hands-on Cloud Architect to lead the next stage of its cloud transformation.

With 80% of customers already using its cloud platform and a clear ambition to become fully cloud-based, the business is looking for someone who can bring fresh thinking, technical expertise and the ability to turn ideas into reality.

Location: Bristol- based, 1 day a week

The role:

This isn't a role where you'll simply design solutions and hand them over. You'll have the autonomy to assess, architect, build and implement meaningful improvements yourself, working alongside an established development and IT team.

• Designing, building and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions, primarily within Microsoft Azure.
