Job summary

Microlise is seeking an AWS Platform Engineer on a 12-month fixed-term contract to build a scalable cloud platform powering analytics, AI, and digital services. You will create production-ready foundations using Terraform, implement security controls, and develop reusable platform capabilities for engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on AWS infrastructure experience.
• Infrastructure as Code with reusable modules.
• AWS networking (VPCs, DNS) and hybrid connectivity.
• IAM, encryption, secrets management and least privilege.
• Cloud monitoring, logging and observability.
• Multi-account environments and governance.
• Scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
• Security-by-design mindset and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Build the foundations for our AWS future with Terraform.
• Establish reusable infra modules and deployment patterns.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
• Implement security controls, IAM and networking.
• Establish observability with metrics, logs and alerts.
• Support FinOps tagging, budgets and cost visibility.
• Collaborate with architecture, data engineering and dev teams.
• Create scalable, production-ready AWS platform.
