Job summary

83zero Limited is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to design, deploy and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructure across complex environments.

You will build IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi; implement CI/CD pipelines; monitor and secure cloud platforms; and collaborate with Agile teams, architects and stakeholders. This permanent hybrid role offers UK-wide scope with occasional travel to London or Manchester.

Qualifications

• Active SC clearance (essential)
• Sole UK nationality
• Strong hands-on AWS experience in secure environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi)
• Practical CI/CD experience (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions or ArgoCD)
• Docker and Kubernetes proficiency
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash or PowerShell)
• Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, security groups)
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch)
• Knowledge of cloud security and Zero Trust principles

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage secure AWS cloud infrastructure
• Build IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery processes
• Implement monitoring, logging and observability
• Automate infrastructure and operations with scripting
• Collaborate with Agile teams, architects and stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and optimise cloud environments
• Adopt new cloud-native and DevOps technologies
• Maintain security best practices and Zero Trust alignment
