Job summary

RED GLOBAL TRANSPORTES is seeking an AWS Data Engineering Consultant to join a strategic Cloud Data Platform & Analytics Programme in Knutsford on a hybrid basis. The role requires hands-on AWS data services experience and building enterprise-scale pipelines.

You'll design, implement and optimize ETL/ELT workflows, review code across distributed environments, and apply IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, EMR, DynamoDB).
• Design, implement and troubleshoot enterprise-scale data pipelines.
• Strong ETL/ELT and data integration expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and troubleshoot enterprise-scale data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and data integration solutions.
• Review code and resolve issues across distributed data processing environments.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.

AWS Data Engineering Consultant | Knutsford (Hybrid)

RED now has a new contract opportunity for an AWS Data Engineering Consultant to join one of our key partners on a strategic Cloud Data Platform & Analytics Programme.

This contract is to start ASAP and will be hybrid, with 2-3 days per week onsite in Knutsford, UK.

Specific skills/experience required:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, EMR and DynamoDB
• Proven experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting enterprise-scale data pipelines
• Strong expertise in ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration solutions
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark or PySpark
• Experience reviewing code and resolving issues across distributed data processing environments
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Strong understanding of data modelling, metadata management, data quality and cloud data architectures
• Experience supporting vector databases and AI-driven data solutions is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
