Job summary

Tesco IMS is seeking a Systems Engineer in Edinburgh with hybrid working options. You will build, support and mature our AWS cloud platform, enabling product teams to deliver value faster through automation, security and infrastructure as code.

Join a team focused on platform automation, security improvements, observability and operational resilience while working with experienced engineers and partners across a complex enterprise AWS estate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience supporting and engineering AWS cloud environments.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.
• Solid knowledge of AWS networking and security services.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver secure, scalable AWS platform services for product teams.
• Improve deployment efficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Enhance cloud security, identity management and governance controls.
• Strengthen platform reliability with monitoring, automation and observability.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers to optimise performance and cost.
• Contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns and best practices.
