Job summary

Anson McCade is partnering with a leading technology and national security organisation in Manchester to recruit an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer. The role involves designing, developing and deploying cloud-based applications, working across the full delivery lifecycle in an autonomous DevOps environment.

You’ll work with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS), Terraform/CloudFormation/CDK, Python/Bash scripting, CI/CD pipelines, containers with Docker and Kubernetes, and

Qualifications

• Strong AWS experience.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK).
• Scripting in Python or Bash.
• DevOps/Agile experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, version control and automated testing.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes or microservices advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Security Clearance or ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Work across the full DevOps lifecycle from development to deployment and support.
• Use Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.
• Develop and script using Python, Bash or Shell.
• Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation.
• Collaborate with engineers, customers and stakeholders to solve challenges.
