Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join a leading technology and national security organisation. You will design, develop, deploy and maintain cloud-based applications and services in an autonomous DevOps environment, contributing across the full delivery lifecycle.

This hands-on role requires strong AWS experience, IaC, scripting and container tools, with security clearance or eligibility to obtain.

Qualifications

Strong AWS experience and commercial exposure.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK).
Scripting or development experience with Python, Bash or Shell.
Experience in DevOps and Agile environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD, version control and automated testing.
Experience with containers, Kubernetes or microservices is advantageous.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Security clearance or eligibility to obtain UK clearance.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy AWS-based cloud applications and services.
Work across the full DevOps lifecycle from development to deployment and support.
Use IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK.
Develop and script using Python, Bash or Shell.
Work with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, KMS).
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation.
Collaborate with engineers, customers and stakeholders to solve technical challenges.
