Job summary

Cognizant in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to own hands-on cloud design, deployment, and BAU support. You will work across compute, networking, storage, and analytics with services including Fargate, Bedrock, Redshift, Neptune, and VPC.

Strong migration experience and security awareness are essential. Responsibilities include migrating infrastructure from CloudFormation to Terraform, CHEF to Ansible, and Jenkins to GitHub Actions, plus ongoing production

Qualifications

Strong understanding of core AWS services and cloud architecture.
Experience with Terraform, CHEF, Ansible, and GitHub Actions.
Experience migrating infrastructure from CloudFormation to Terraform.
Experience with post go-live BAU operations and monitoring.
Excellent English communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Implement end-to-end AWS solutions across compute, networking, storage, and analytics.
Migration of existing AWS infra from CloudFormation templates to Terraform.
Migration of CHEF cookbooks to Ansible.
Migration of Jenkins jobs to GitHub actions.
Post go‑live production BAU Ops role.
Ensure robust operational standards across logging, security, monitoring, IAM governance, and distributed cloud reliability.
