Your Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Financial Services industry. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in cloud computing technologies, with a particular focus on implementing and optimizing cloud solutions that meet the specific needs of our financial services operations. As a Cloud Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and securing cloud-based infrastructures that enhance our operational efficiency and support our strategic objectives.

• Experience with AWS CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, AWS Application Load Balancer, Multi-region ECS Containers, and tools like CHEF Linux.
• Producing high-quality, performant, and well-documented code adhering to secure coding principles. Understanding of CloudFormation templates (Infrastructure as Code / IaC).
• Understanding of relevant AWS services used or potentially leveraged in the future.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand business and customer problems and how our applications can help solve them.
• Provide input on technical designs, recognizing potential performance and security issues early in their lifecycle.
• Manage work using Scrum and Kanban Agile methodologies, supporting continuous improvements in team productivity while managing risks and issues.

Your Profile

• Excellent developer with 9+ years of experience.
• Primary programming language is Go; familiarity with Java is desirable.
• Application architecture skills, understanding the benefits of key AWS services and their integration.
• Strong engineering practices (like XP, TDD), CI & CD, Pair programming.
• Strong understanding of Design & Enterprise Cloud Native patterns. Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Superior coding skills that lead to well-structured, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Relevant AWS certification (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Developer, or Architect).
• Ability to drive the end-to-end software development lifecycle and deliver successful enterprise-class products.
