Job summary

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. in London seeks an Assistant Vice President, Transaction Operations to oversee day-to-day operations for a large reinsurance portfolio. You will manage contract admin, collateral, investor reporting, and project delivery with cross-functional teams.

The role requires IFRS/US GAAP expertise, 3+ years in (re)insurance accounting, and a track record in operations. Strong communication and leadership are essential, with a client-focused mindset and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Accounting designation and comprehensive knowledge of IFRS/GAAP.
• 3+ years in (re)insurance financial reporting or accounting.
• 5+ years in Re/Insurance with operations, capital, underwriting or treasury.
• University degree and/or reinsurance designations preferred; STEP seen as a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in a client service environment.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; ability to meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for a large, sophisticated reinsurance portfolio.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth deal flow.
• Draft, review and record reinsurance, trust and shareholder agreements.
• Oversee trust accounts, collateral investment, reporting and closing processes.
• Support Business Transformation projects as directed by EVP, Head of Service & Delivery.
• Deliver high-quality client service and escalate issues promptly.
