Ensuring all our students have the very best educational start in life, in an environment where everyone is Valued, Challenged and Inspired, sits at the heart of what we do in Christ’s College.
As part of Emmanuel Schools Foundation, we are an all-through school in Sunderland with pupils from reception to year 11. We are looking to recruit an experienced SENDCo to join our strong leadership team and deliver outstanding provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities. Reporting to the Vice Principal, the SENDCo will provide outstanding leadership and management to the whole school.
We have high expectations for our students as they grow and develop, and all our staff serve as important role models in terms of positive attitude, work ethic, and diligence.
The vision of the Emmanuel Schools Foundation is to provide schools of character for the whole community, with excellence in academic achievement for students of all abilities within a biblical Christian framework that fosters personal, spiritual, moral, and social development. Our provision is fully inclusive, valuing all students and staff equally. It is important to our students that they seek truth—finding answers to big questions about identity, life, and purpose—and develop excellent characters by learning about ethical decision-making and serving others. We apply Christ’s teaching of servant leadership, guided by the motto ‘serve to lead’.
